JOHANNESBURG - An internal rift within Zimbabwe's ruling ZANU PF is raising worries,
of a potential coup against President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Some of his staunch supporters want the president to extend his rule beyond 2028, despite constitutional limits.
Despite Mnangagwa's promises to solve the country's socio-economic problems, conditions have worsened for many Zimbabweans.
Tino Mambeu from the Zimbabwe Exile Forum says there Mnangwa has fallen into the trap of power and has failed to deliver on his promises.
This saw demonstrators take to the streets in protests.
