HARARE - The Zimbabwe police force is training its officers to conduct elections duties and to deal with any political violence.
Opposition parties have always accused police of both bias and brutality.
At least six people died and many were injured in protests after the last elections in 2018.
This time round, the police force says it wants to ensure elections are peaceful and managed in a professional way.

Zimbabwe is heading for watershed elections in July or August.
Incumbent President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Citizens Coalition For Change leader Nelson Chamisa are expected to be the main contenders for the country's leadership.
