Youth voices rise as special voting fuels election anticipation

JOHANNESBURG - This week, eNCA’s Election Bus rolled into Vanderbijlpark, south of Gauteng, to capture the excitement of special voters and the buzz among young people gearing up for Election Day tomorrow.

Among those casting their special ballots, was Nduduzo Skosana from Boipatong, who didn’t think twice about who would get his vote.

Kagiso Esemang explained what his special vote meant to him.

These special votes have ignited the anticipation of first-time voters.

For many young people, this election is a rite of passage and a chance to shape their own future and that of the country.

Vaal University of Technology student, Oarabile Tshwagong, shared his encouragement for those who are conflicted about who to vote for.

Job creation is a key priority motivating South Africa’s youth to exercise their right to vote.

And this much was made clear by Mohale Buang, another student at the Vaal University of Technology.

With first-time voters like Tshwagong and Buang ready to step up, the 2024 Election Day promises to live up to the expectation, as the most pivotal polls, since 1994.
