JOHANNESBURG - Tensions are simmering at Wits university where students are continuing their protest for proper funding and accommodation.
On Monday night SRC president Aphiwe Mnyamana was suspended, adding to the low morale of students.
But he's rejected his suspension and wants to meet with the vice-chancellor.
This is the second week of protests after a deadlock with Wits management.
Striking NEHAWU workers at the university have since joined students.
