CAPE TOWN - One person has been seriously injured, but there have been no deaths due to the floods in Cape Town.
A severe cold front has lashed the Mother City and Paarl with heavy rain and wind.
Emergency services are on high alert as more storms are expected.

"There's been a couple of rescue operations that happened where people were cut off in different parts of the province," said Colin Deiner from Western Cape Disaster Management.
"Several thousand people were displaced, and then people have been displaced in various parts of the province."
Cape Town residents are advised to exercise caution when travelling.
Evacuations continue in some parts of Cape Town after the area was hit by heavy rains and strong winds.
