JOHANNESBURG - Good news ahead of the weekend.
Eskom has announced that rolling blackouts will be suspended until 4pm on Monday.
The utility says this is due to improved generation fleet performance and lower than expected weekend demand.
Breakdowns have come down to just under 13,000 megawatts, while planned maintenance is just below 5,000 megawatts.
Eskom says further updates will be provided on Sunday afternoon and will communicate should any significant changes occur.
