WC parties want to lay criminal charges against IEC

CAPE TOWN - While the IEC has declared the 2024 elections free and fair, more than a dozen political parties are crying foul.

They say they have been robbed of their votes.

After seeking legal advice, they will not only take their case to the Electoral Court, but some will take it a step further by laying criminal charges relating to electoral fraud.

Aggrieved parties say that while they accept that no election is perfect, these polls were fraught with irregularities.

The IEC recorded 579 objections and complaints from 21 parties.
