RAWSONVILLE - Over 2,000 people have been left homeless in Rawsonville in the Western Cape.
Heavy rains damaged over 300 homes in the area last week.
Now, authorities say there are plans to permanently relocate them from the banks of the Smalblaar River.

The Gift of the Givers have finally reached the community after they were cut off since last week.
Most affected residents in Rawsonville are seasonal farm workers from the informal settlements next to the Smallbaar River.
Local authorities say no deaths have been reported yet.
