JOHANNESBURG - Torrential rains continue to batter parts of South Africa, forcing people in low-lying areas to evacuate.
The Pongolapoort Dam in northern KwaZulu-Natal, popularly known as Jozini, has reached full capacity.
Now the sluice gates will be open to reduce it to a safe 85 percent capacity.
The Water Department is warning residents to expect high-water volumes from Monday.
