CAPE TOWN - Suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane may have to take up her own defence when the inquiry into her fitness to hold office resumes on Tuesday.

This after her legal team – led by Dali Mpofu – staged a dramatic walkout last week.

Mpofu told the inquiry that his mandate had come to an end, which Mkhwebane refutes.
