JOHANNESBURG - Who will be the City of Johannesburg's latest mayor?

A special sitting of council was expected to elect a new executive mayor on Tuesday following the resignation of Thapelo Amad.

The council meeting had to be adjourned after hours of delays with no direction.

The City has seven days left to elect a mayor or the cooperative governance department will have to step in.
