WATCH | WCape’s Overstrand fire crews remain on high alert

CAPE TOWN - Rain has brought much-needed relief for authorities fighting fires in the Western Cape’s Overstrand Municipality.

 Thousands of hectares of vegetation have been destroyed after a fire that broke out in the Pearly Beach area on Monday.

Firefighters say the blaze is now raging in dense vegetation which is inaccessible.
