JOHANNESBURG - Democratic Alliance leader John Steenhuisen has vowed to stop what he calls an ANC-EFF doomsday coalition from taking over the country.
He has also reiterated the party's commitment to unseating the ANC in the 2024 national elections.
Steenhuisen was re-elected as the party's leader during the party's elective congress in Midrand.
He will lead for the next four years.
At the same time, Mpho phalatse says she will not leave the DA following her defeat to Steenhuisen for the party leader position.

She says she is disappointed with the outcome but will back him.
Phalatse says she will contest the next congress.
