PRETORIA - The Special Tribunal has reviewed and set aside two contracts worth one-point-six-billion-rand the Independent Development Trust awarded to five companies.
The companies have also been ordered to pay back all profits from the now unlawful and invalid contracts.

A probe by the Special Investigating Unit found the IDT failed to follow proper procurement processes.
The contracts were awarded in 2011 for security fencing at various correctional centres.
