SWARTLAND - Some 200 families have been displaced after two dams collapsed in Swartland in the Western Cape.
Engineers say the disaster doesn't warrant any mass evacuations.
The Chatsworth families are being sheltered in local churches and community halls.
While no fatalities have been recorded, Malmesbury Hospital is treating 14 patients with minor injuries.
The collapse is believed to have been caused by heavy rains brought on by climate change.
