JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has lashed out against MPs for their comments while debating the State of the Nation Address.
Ramaphosa says there are those in Parliament who are self-serving and didn't offer any constructive solutions to the country's problems.
According to the President, despite the challenges facing South Africa, progress must be acknowledged.
He says a lot has been done in the last five years.
At the same time, Ramaphosa thanked Deputy President David Mabuza for his work and support over the last five years.
Mabuza has stepped down as Deputy President.
Ramaphosa says he's attending to Mabuza's resignation.
