WATCH: Ramaphosa addresses ANC Veterans League Conference

JOHANNESBURG - Equipping and educating the next generation, that's what ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says is the most important task ahead for the ANC Veterans League.

Ramaphosa delivered closing remarks at the league’s elective conference on Sunday, stressing the importance of political education for the youth.

He said, "If I ever were to set up what your tasks are, it is renewal. One of the key ones is on political education and it needs to be structured so well that it is spread throughout the country because you have the experience, knowledge, political consciousness as well as the ideological clarity that is needed to mentor new generations of activists."
