JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's rail system has been under siege from criminals for many years.
Vandalism and theft of infrastructure have crippled Transnet and Prasa's operations countrywide, costing both companies billions in lost revenue but Prasa say they're turning the corner, in fixing their decaying rail network.
It says 18 of its train corridors have already been recovered.
Long-suffering commuters, however, are not convinced, urging the commuter rail company, to get its house in order, soon.
