PRETORIA - It's the second day of a manhunt for a dangerous prisoner who escaped from a hospital in Mamelodi, Pretoria.
Clatta Gumbo was serving a life sentence for rape and assault at the Baviaanspoort prison since August 2018.
Gumbo was at the hospital for a consultation with a dietitian.
Correctional Services says he attacked the guard, disarmed him and escaped from the hospital premises.
