WATCH: Pastor recalls robbery mid-sermon

DURBAN - There’s been a call for more safety at places of worship after a string of armed robberies.

Last week, criminals were captured holding a pastor at gunpoint on the pulpit, at a church north of Durban.

Three vehicles were taken, along with valuables from congregants.

The church’s founder says criminals are preying on the community.

The suspects have not yet been caught but they are thought to be linked to other similar crimes.

The SAPS says it’s looking at ways to help worshippers feel safer.
