JOHANNESBURG - Family and friends pay tribute to the late anti-apartheid activist, Frene Ginwala, at the official government memorial service.

She has been hailed as a champion of justice and women's rights.

Ginwala died at the age of 90.

She was the first Speaker of Parliament in a democratic South Africa.
