JOHANNESBURG - AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini says those planning to dethrone him will fail.
It follows a high court nullifying his recognition as King.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is appealing that judgment.
The King was speaking at a ministerial community engagement in uMkhanyakude.
Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu was receiving a 32-km water canal from the Silwane Trust.
"I know that as we gather here today, you are asking yourselves what is he thinking because the courts are breathing down his neck.

"People of my ancestors, I will not say much, you know the rules of the courts, I can't comment on this but what I can say to reassure you is that, as the amaZulu Nation you know who your King is," he said.
"Nothing is broken, you know your King. Those fighting me will have no choice but to accept defeat, even the courts themselves."
