WATCH | Minister Mbalula provides drivers' licence backlog updates

JOHANNESBURG - The backlog in issuing and renewing driving licences continues to be a concern.

Some motorists have raised their grievances with Transport Minister, Fikile Mbalula.

Earlier this year it was reported the printing machine had broken down and had to be fixed in Germany.

Mbalula then promised to digitise the system to avoid backlogs.

He's provided an update on the interventions.
