EASTERN CAPE - A 30-year-old man accused of the brutal murder of his grandmother has confessed to the gruesome crime.

He says he was possessed by evil spirits when he killed and dismembered 70-year-old, Mamokete Moea, from Aliwal North, in the Eastern Cape.

The former school teacher was laid to rest on Thursday with the suspect expected in court next week.
