JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance's Mpho Phalatse says she is confident she will be reinstated as Johannesburg Mayor.

She filed court papers to challenge her removal.

Phalatse was ousted last Friday through a motion of no-confidence.

The African National Congress is back in power in the Joburg Metro, with Dada Morero elected as the new Mayor.
