JOHANNESBURG - The labour court will rule on an application to overturn an interdict against the National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union's strike on Monday
The union is not backing down and vows to intensify its strike action.
Thousands downed tools last week to force the government to agree to demands for a 10% wage hike.
They rejected the 4.7% offer, calling it an insult.
The week-long protests have been marred by violence and intimidation.
Nehawu insists the protests will continue.
