WATCH | JHB Mayor briefs media on water shortages

JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Mayor Thapelo Amad briefs the media following weeks of water outages in parts of the city.

Areas in southern Johannesburg and the East Rand haven’t had water for days.

Heidelberg Hospital has had to close some facilities amid the water shortages.

Southdale residents, meanwhile, haven’t had water for two weeks.

Parts of Pineslopes also remain without water after more than a week of unresolved issues.

The city has increased the number of roaming water tankers supplying residents in areas that have been affected.
