JOHANNESBURG - The government has given the go-ahead for plans by Karpowership to use three ports to supply electricity to the country.
Officials say the use of power ships is the quickest way to resolve the country's energy crisis.
Karpowerships are floating power plants that use gas as fuel to generate electricity.
This is then fed into the electricity grid.
Transport Department spokesperson, Collen Msibi spoke to eNCA to explain the process.
