CAPE TOWN - Families living on a plot of land near the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town, have been removed after failing to comply with a court eviction order effective last month.
The sheriff of the court, accompanied by police and law enforcement agencies, woke them early on Friday morning, telling them to vacate the land.
After initial resistance, ten people decided to take up accommodation at safe places offered by the City of Cape Town.
