In Gauteng, emergency services remain on high alert as more rain is expected.
Many residents in Gauteng have also been left without electricity.
City Power says it's battling with a backlog of calls and inquiries.
Residents in parts of the Eastern Cape are also in for wet weather.
Several areas in the province have already been affected by rains and floods over the last few days.
The OR Tambo district municipality says they have been working on awareness campaigns to make sure residents and communities are prepared.
