RIO DE JANEIRO - G20 leaders have arrived in Rio de Janeiro for the G20 Summit taking place today and tomorrow. 

The meeting comes amid scepticism that a major consensus on energy transition remains unlikely.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has held a meeting with European Union President Ursula von der Leyen to discuss leveraging the potential of renewable energy.

South Africa are preparing to host the summit in 2025.
