WATCH | Buffalo City Metro mayor Xola Pakati recalled

JOHANNESBURG - After months of speculation over Xola Pakati's future, the axe has fallen on the Buffalo City Metro Mayor.

The ANC's Eastern Cape Provincial Working Committee has recalled him.

It says the decision was taken following due consideration and assessment of the performance of the Metro.

Three names have been submitted to national officials so the interview process can begin.
