BLOEMFONTEIN - Nine people implicated in Thabo Bester's elaborate escape from prison are expected back in the dock.

They face various charges ranging from fraud, corruption, aiding and abetting a convict, violation of a corpse and arson.

The NPA has confirmed that Bester will be appearing virtually.
