WATCH | Bergville man arrested for murder expected in court on Tuesday

DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal police have arrested a man (33), for allegedly stabbing 7 family members in Bergville, killing five, while two are recovering from their injuries. 

He is expected to appear in the Bergville Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, facing five counts of murder and two of attempted murder.

The incident took place in the Bethany area of Bergville on Saturday night. 

According to the police, the man had several domestic violence-related cases opened against him.

But all of them were later withdrawn.
