JOHANNESBURG - The South African Municipal Workers Union is concerned over the Auditor-General's audit outcomes.
The union says it raises serious concerns about the state of governance and accountability within the local government sector.

A shocking total of 87 municipalities have vacant senior management positions, including Chief Financial Officers and Municipal Managers, which are critical for effective financial oversight and decision-making.
