JOHANNESBURG - Parliament’s portfolio committee on justice has expressed worries that the scuffle between the Director of Public Prosecutions and the judiciary in the Free State could jeopardise the corruption case against Ace Magashule.
In a strongly worded letter, the Free State deputy judge president accuses the NPA provincial boss of blatant interference in judicial independence.
The letter was in response to a request by the NPA in the Free State, for the judiciary to appoint a judge from outside the province to preside over the asbestos trial.
