JOHANNESBURG - The 55th ANC National Conference kicks off in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg.

Of the ANC’s 3,982 branches in good standing across the country, the party says 89 percent of them successfully nominated both delegates and National Executive Committee nominees for this week’s conference.

According to the ANC Electoral Committee, there’ll be 4,068 delegates, who constitute 90 percent of voting delegates, at this conference.

KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Limpopo are leading the pack, while the other six provinces are sending less than five hundred delegates each.
