CAPE TOWN - More than 1,700 South Africans who served in non-combatant roles during World War 1 and who perished with no recognition, have finally been honoured and remembered.
The memorial, in Cape Town, in the Company’s Garden, was inaugurated by Commonwealth War Graves Commission president, Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne.
