CAPE TOWN - The case against siblings charged with falsely claiming from a funeral policy has been postponed to 27 November at the Athlone Magistrates Court in Cape Town.
Wanda and Sindiswa Mbele face fraud and money laundering charges for claiming R110,000 from a funeral policy for late "Noem my Skollie" actor David Manuel, even though he is not a relative of theirs.
Their lawyer says no crime was committed as David and his younger brother were both raised by the Mbele family after the passing of their parents.
He says he believes the neighbours who exposed the alleged crime have an ulterior motive.
