JOHANNESBURG - It seems the IEC’s voter campaign is paying off.
Over 320,000 people have already registered to vote for the 2024 elections and about 26,000 people made use of the online platform.
That’s according to the IEC during a briefing.
The body says over 23,000 stations have opened for the weekend. The IEC have made a last minute push for potential voters to register.
Meanwhile, young people are hopeful they can make their mark in next year's elections.
First-time voter Lethabo Tau says the youth should strive to make a difference as voter registration weekend is underway.
