US tourists to Namibia now require visas

WINDHOEK - The Namibian government has announced that US tourists will now require a visa to enter the country.

On a post on X, the embassy says that visitors who arrive in Windhoek, Walvis Bay or any other high volume border will also be able to buy a tourist Visa upon arrival.

This comes as the newly Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has officially taken office.

She was sworn in last week Friday after her party SWAPO won in November.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah has also reduced her cabinet to 14 ministers cutting it down from 21.

The new system of obtaining a tourist visa at the airport or border in Namibia is a new system that has been implemented.
