UPINGTON - Residents of Upington in the Northern Cape have urged President Cyril Ramaphosa and his administration to accelerate service delivery in the area.
Issues of housing, crime, land, poverty and unemployment have dominated the Presidential Imbizo held in the area.
The president and his entire executive descended on one of the poorest provinces in the country to interact with fed-up residents.
The province is also plagued by other serious social ills.
President Ramaphosa says dealing with unemployment is the biggest and most urgent task, not only in the Northern Cape but across the country.
He promised Upington residents their plight and the issues raised will be attended to speedily.
