Countries affected including India, Bangladesh, the US, Germany and here in South Africa are affected.
Whatsapp users in these countries are unable to send and receive text messages.
It is unclear what has caused the outage or when Whatsapp will be restored, however, for now, you should probably remind yourself how to send an SMS or worse, make a phone call.
