University of Fort Hare unveils water project

DIKENI, Eastern Cape - Providing clean running water to communities is a daily struggle for many municipalities across South Africa.

They are grappling with aging water infrastructure, lack of funding, and population growth.

It's for this reason that the Department of Higher Education and Training and the University of Fort Hare are collaborating with the Amathole District Municipality and the Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality in Dikeni and surrounding areas.

Over 44,000 people are going to benefit from upgrades to water infrastructure.
