JOHANNESBURG - There are allegations that Eskom spent R500 million on a 3-month security tender.
Private security association, Taposa, is now demanding an inquiry into the claims.
It says former CEO Andre de Ruyter flouted tender processes to get the deal approved.

Saftu General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi says while security is a major concern at the utility, spending that amount of money needs to be justified.
"Every minister including the president has been speaking about the scale of industrial looting at Eskom and up to now we don't know who is behind this," he said.
