DIMBAZA - Four of the five suspects in the murders of Fort Hare University staff have confessed to the murders.
The startling revelations were made by the State Prosecutor at the Dimbaza magistrate's court.
But the accused maintain their innocence, saying they are being used as scapegoats.
The state believes they may not have acted alone.

For this reason, they should remain in custody for their own protection and witnesses.
Judgment is expected on 12 June.
