The Gauteng Legal Practice Council confirms that the fire was started by the aggrieved client.

Legal Practice Council spokesperson, Kabelo Letebele said, "a member of the public joined by plus-minus four people were in consultation with one of our staff members or a legal officer.

"And as a result of the conversation which seemingly didn't go well, this member of the public, one or two of them, decided then to essentially assault an LPC Member of staff and then proceeded then an attempt to set the building on fire, which is why we had that arson in our offices."
