Two dead in Durban petrol station crash

DURBAN - Two people have been killed in a horror crash in Malvern in Durban.

Paramedics say a driver lost control of the vehicle and drove into a petrol station.

One person died on the spot while the passenger succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

The patient was found in a critical condition entrapped inside the vehicle.

Paramedics had to use Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment to free him.

On arrival at the hospital, the patient went into cardiac arrest and died.
