South Africa’s ambassador to Türkiye says her department is struggling to get hold of a South African couple that approached the embassy for help in getting home.

They lost their passports and other important papers in the devastation of those deadly earthquakes.
Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba is thankful no South Africans were killed in the earthquakes, but says she does not agree with the decision to call off rescue operations.
