Türkiye-Syria Earthquake | Gift of the Givers to assist recovery

CAPE TOWN - As the death toll from the massive earthquake that struck Turkiye and Syria rose above 5,000 on Tuesday. 

Local humanitarian group Gift of the Givers is on their way to assist.

The Turkish government officially requested assistance from the group after the 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the country and neighbouring Syria on Monday.

Medical teams with specialised equipment are scheduled to take off at Cape Town International Airport.
